In Bhuj the cost of a tent in which foreign volunteers lived was more than the cost of a house built for a Bhuj family. During Tsunami relief program UN associated volunteer parties sent lot of clothes and most of them were neck ties. Where the hell neck ties fits in for poor fishermen?
Second most donated stuff was Mosquito Nets. Poor families over there do not have bed and also they do not sleep along the wall (due to fear of lizard or other reptile). One cannot use the mosquito net sleeping on floor in the middle of the room.

I feel these foreign agencies should not be blamed becuase they do not know the local environment. It is the mindset of majority Hindustan population, they do not come in front to help the needy and poor.

Even the Industrialist do not feel that it is there responsibilty to contribute to the society in which they are running their big business houses . Apart from TATA, I have not seen any indutrialist (Reliance, Bajaj, Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, Ranbaxy, Cipla, Nestle etc) doing something big for the city/state in which they are operating.
